Dear Cary,
Your song for two voices, The Panting and the Damned, is an interesting study in contrasts, but we are stumped as to how the singing and speaking roles could be reconciled. Who would you recommend for these two parts?

Contraries can only be reconciled by acknowledging their aesthetic antagonism. My first choice would be Anna Netrebko (singing) and Harvey Fierstein (speaking), but I would also accept Placido Domingo (singing) and Jennifer Tilly (speaking).
